Bushnell G Force 1300 ARC

By Jeffrey Pilger

So you got your thousand dollar bow all sighted in.  Your new Block target is getting a work out and your splitting arrows at 20 and 40 yards.  Your time out in the woods seems to be getting less and less with family obligations but his weekend is looking good.  Cold front moving in should get the deer on their feet.  Your not in your stand for more than thirty minutes when you see a shooter buck headed your way.  In fact this deer may be the biggest deer you have seen on this particular farm.  The deer turns broadside at “twenty” yards!  You’re already at full draw and you let the arrow fly.  You feel confident in your shot as you watch the glowing Lumenok fly toward that first booner you have ever seen in the woods.  When you see the arrow fall short of the intended target you cannot believe it.  “What in the hell just happend!” You get out of your treestand and find your arrow, of course with no blood on it.  What you guessed was twenty yards was actually thirty causing you to miss that deer of a lifetime.

How many times each year is that scenario played out.  Probably a lot.  We spend so much money on our equipment including bows, arrows, scent control clothing but forget about a one of the most important tools available to us.  That my friends would be a rangefinder.  All rangefinders are not created equal and one of the best rangefinders on the market is the new Bushnell G Force 1300 ARC introduced this year 2012.

The Bushnell ARC offers both Bow and Rifle modes making it easy for you to know what pin to use or where to hold your cross hairs no matter the distance or angle to your target.  With 1/2 yard accuracy and the new Vivid Display Technology you will be able to see bright, legible distance readings in all lighting conditions with an effective range of 5 to 1300 yards. The guts of this device is surrounded by a rubber armored metal housing making it durable and 100% waterproof.  Comes in black and Realtree AP.  Retails for $399.00
